Homework and vocabulary: Tuesday, January 28th

Periods 2, 3, 4, and 7 will start on the vocab practice for Friday's quiz. The entire practice packet is due Friday!

Period 6 was short today because of the fire drill, so those students will have vocabulary instruction tomorrow. Here are the words: 

1. Aptitude (noun)
    A natural talent or ability; quickness in learning

2. Inept (adjective)
    1. Without skill
    2. Out of place; foolish

3. Adjunct (noun)
    An added part not essential to the whole

4. Conjugate (verb)
    To give forms of verbs in a fixed order

5. Injunction (noun)
    An authoritative command or order

Back to the grind!

It's officially Q3. 99% of us started off the quarter with a 100 quiz grade due to fabulous effort on our argumentative essays. We have three questions left on CCSS and then we are done with testing (for a little while, at least). 

Monday is a half day for students. Please remind your parents. 

Remember to bring in your independent reading books every day as you never know when we will be independently reading!
